Qualifications and Experiences:

  • CA Inter (8+ yrs) / B.Com / M.Com (10+ yrs)
  • Strong experience in AP, GST & TDS compliance
  • Hands-on with invoice processing, payments & reconciliations
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage AP invoice booking, verification, and preparation of payment files
  • Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments
  • Handle month-end provisioning and perform related reconciliations
  • Track and follow up for settlement of advances
  • Ensure monthly closure of purchase register for GST filing
  • Prepare and share monthly TDS reports/files based on AP records
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders for pending invoices based on GST reports
  • Follow up with teams to ensure timely submission of bills/invoices.

Location: Shillong

This position is the most senior person within Finance responsible for all financial matters, reporting to the local CFO. S/he is responsible for but not limited to –

  • Ensuring compliance to meet corporate headquarter needs, adhering to all external compliance requirements of the Government, auditors. Banks in India and ensuring compliance to India GAAP etc
  • Ensure completion of yearly group and company audit 
  • Leading internal controls improvement work by ensuring documentation and adequate processes are in place
  • Being the owner of the ERP system Zoho/ Tally so that data is inputted in the system ‘right’ from the beginning in accordance with operational requirements and india GAAP.
  •  Lead and prepare regular analytical financial reports, financial statements to Group for consolidation and reports to local management.


Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Successful candidate should be a chartered Accountant with solid 12 to 20 years of technical accounting knowledge of India GAAP, have eyes for details and have  strong hands on book keeping experience.
  • Strong knowledge of local tax, and local statutory compliance requirements. 
  • Understand project cost accounting 
  • Should have eye for details and able to  roll-up sleeves and execute the operational responsibilities him/herself 
  • Strong knowledge of foreign currency regulation and requirements of India banking requirements
  • Should have a strong track record of improving internal controls & compliance for audit
  • Should have solid knowledge and hands on experience of working in ERP system like Zoho and Tally 
  • Good communication in English and can have strong people management skills as strength. 
  • Possess good, reporting presentation skills and organizational skills with international group reporting experience
  • Innovative and creative in coming up with forward looking solutions so that challenges can be overcome in a compliant way

Hands-on Operational & Financial Responsibilities:
  • Statutory Compliance related to financial statements, GST, taxable income and ensure, timely hands on reconciliation and payments of taxes and filling of annual returns, and hands-on  TDS (Tax deducted at source) reconciliation and checking  
  • Financial Reporting and Audits
  • Bookkeeping and Accounting: Maintaining accurate books of accounts in our ERP system in line with the operations and ensuring they also comply with India Accounting Standards and group financial standards for timely monthly reporting and statutory audit. 
  • Coordinate regulatory and statutory filings and documentation with our partners & legal personnel (include but not limited to ROC, MGT, AOC-4 etc), AGM 
  • Detailed cashflow reporting on expenditure on project level
  • Ownership of ERP system, including setting up the system in the ‘right way’ for effective costs follow up
  • Lead the fixed asset register reconciliation with General Ledger
  • Timely execution of payments for invoices, payroll within organisation and ensure bank reconciliations is performed monthly 
  • Hand-on reconciliation for Group related party transactions calculation, invoicing and bookkeeping in line with transfer pricing and group instructions. 
  • Improve internal control processes across the operations  ensuring proper approvals, procedures are adhered to and documentations are available for audit 
  • Responsible for timely monthly, quarterly & year-end closing incl reconciliations
  • Lead standardization, improvements & automation of financial processes for efficiency
